Program OPSENET 1.0: Oil Palm Sustainability Education Network 1.0








OPSENET 1.0 is a forward-looking initiative designed to enhance sustainability and technological advancement within the palm oil industry by bringing together academic researchers, industry practitioners, and R&D experts to promote knowledge transfer and innovation aligned with current needs, with key focuses on the integration of Virtual Reality (VR) for immersive training and simulation, the application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for plantation mapping and crop monitoring to support data-driven decision-making, and the introduction of Carbon Credit concepts to encourage sustainable practices and environmental accountability, with sessions delivered by researchers from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia, experts from FELCRA R&D, and industry representatives from Sabah Street Engineering Works, making OPSENET 1.0 a dynamic platform for innovation, knowledge exchange, and technology transfer towards a more resilient and sustainable palm oil industry.
